Cervical spinal stenosis occurs in the neck and can cause numbness, weakness, or coordination issues in arms or legs. Lumbar stenosis occurs in the lower back and often causes leg pain or cramping while walking (neurogenic claudication).
Both are treated with physical therapy, injections, or decompression surgery depending on severity.
