Jonathan Hancock is a dedicated acute care nurse practitioner specializing in the comprehensive care of patients with brain, complex spine, trauma, tumor and cerebrovascular issues. He plays a crucial role in the operating room collaborates closely with patients and families to devise personalized care plans tailored to their needs.

Before joining Atlantic Brain and Spine, Jonathan’s career trajectory exemplified his commitment to excellence in critical care. He served as a prehospital provider for a number of years which included aiding in operations during 9/11 in New York. As a Registered Nurse he held roles at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center and JFK Medical Center as an ICU step-down nurse, Mobile Intensive Care Nurse and, ICU & Neuro ICU nurse. He also held roles at Morristown Medical Center as a Surgical and Medical ICU nurse as well as the unit educator for both of those units.

In addition to his clinical pursuits, Jonathan’s academic journey is marked by notable achievements. As a Navy Corpsman he received the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for actions while deployed in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Kaplan University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and a member of the Golden Key Honor society. He then attained his Masters of Science at Drexel University. Jonathan’s dedication to advanced medical knowledge is evident through his involvement in numerous medical presentations and research endeavors, notably serving as a co-investigator for the MIND trial focused on the treatment of hemorrhagic strokes, and a co-author in a publication regarding the care of Moya-Moya disease.
