Ijechi N. Ngumah, DNP, is a an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner at Atlantic Brain and Spine, where she specializes in managing patients with brain bleeds, tumors, spinal problems, and other neurosurgical issues.

Ijechi’s obtained her DNP degree from Rutgers The State University, School of Nursing, specializing in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Her academic pursuits also include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Imo State University in Nigeria.

Throughout her career, Ijechi has demonstrated a passion for patient care and leadership. She has honed her clinical skills through various clinical experiences, including rotations in neuro-intensive care, telemetry, medical ICU, and general surgery. Her commitment to excellence is evident in her involvement in numerous medical presentations and research programs, where she served as a co-investigator for various trials.

In addition to her clinical roles, Ijechi is actively involved in education as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor at Hudson County Community College, where she mentors and trains nursing students. She also has experience in nursing management, having served as a Nurse Manager at a telemetry unit, overseeing staff, conducting performance evaluations, and implementing organizational policies.

Ijechi is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), the New Jersey State Nurses Association (NJSNA), and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN). She has received numerous awards and certifications for her contributions to the field of nursing, including the Alpha Tau 2019 Research/EBP Scholarship Award and certification as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGAC NP) and Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN).
